Taurus Development Group LLC has revealed plans to develop a residential project on vacant land at 21800 Southwest 120th Avenue in Goulds, Miami-Dade County. Designed by Conconcreto Designs LLC, which also serves as the structural and mechanical engineer, with Fecttech Consult LLC as the civil engineer, the project is proposed to rise to 8 stories containing 28 dwelling units and a ground-floor parking garage with additional on-street parking. If approved by Miami-Dade County planners, the new building will top out at approximately 94 feet, comprise 43,676 square feet of new construction, and take on the Barcelona Tower moniker.

On January 30, Miami’s Building Department approved a permit to demolish a 3-story office building located at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard. This demolition will clear the way for constructing Casa Bella by B&B Italia, a 55-story luxury residential condo tower designed by world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, with interiors being designed by Piero Lissoni. The scope of work, estimated to cost $800,000, will involve the clearance of 249,978 square feet, and BG Group has been contracted as the demolition contractor.

FAA Permit Filing Signals Signs Of Life For 78-Story Mixed-Use Tower Planned In Brickell

Karam Group and Claro Development have brought back to life ambitious plans for their 78-story mixed-use tower 18, also known as 18 At 8th, unveiled back in 2017. Standing tall at 954 feet above the ground and 960 feet above mean sea level, this radiant structure would be located at the southwest corner of South Miami Avenue and Southwest 8th Street and replace an existing single-story strip-mall. Building permits were recently filed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), solidifying the progress toward bringing this towering vision to reality. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board has already approved, ensuring that the tower will offer a total of 923,000 square feet of space, including 392 residential units, 66,618 square feet of retail, and 464 parking spaces.
