Now, the university’s getting a new addition: “the Academical Village.” The development requires more than 2.5 million square feet of new construction, and sources report that the general contractor broke ground just recently.

Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the soaring tower will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Biscayne Bay, marking Miami’s first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York City. This also marks the debut of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Waldorf Astoria, in the Miami and South Florida market. John Moriarty Associates is the general contractor and is scheduled to break ground on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Nobu Hotel Orlando is a new development slated for Orlando, Florida. The venture is a partnership between actor Robert DeNiro, film producer Meir Teper, and Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Prosper Group, a real estate investment and development firm, has received approval for a ground-up construction project of 40 high-end townhomes in Tampa. This marks the first deal announced by Prosper Group in Tampa. Located at 8419 and 8425 North Hubert Ave in the Carrollwood neighborhood, the construction site is 3.1 acres or 85,000 sq ft of living space. Construction of the townhomes is set to be completed by Spring 2024.
Klaus Parking Systems has plans for a residential development in North Miami, Florida. Cyber Place will comprise more than 300,000 square feet of new construction, resting on a 1.46-acre site.
