Construction is complete on Flagler Station, a groundbreaking $33 million affordable apartment community at 991 Banyan Boulevard in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. Developed by Housing Trust Group (HTG), this project is a monumental achievement, addressing the city’s pressing need for affordable housing. This public-private collaboration introduces an innovative concept of affordable living. Flagler Station comprises 94 apartments for incomes from 30 to 80 percent of the area’s median income. With rents ranging from $393 to $1,689, this community aims to accommodate diverse residents near major rail stations for seamless connectivity.
Housing Trust Group (HTG) has secured financing for University Station, a $100 million mixed-use development in Hollywood, Florida. This significant project, the largest undertaken by HTG to date, is a collaboration between HTG and the City of Hollywood, forming a true public-private partnership (P3). University Station will feature a range of workforce and affordable housing options, retail spaces, public and private parking, and a new home for Barry University’s College of Nursing and Health Services. The partnership was initiated through an unsolicited proposal under Florida’s P3 statute 255.065. Construction is set to commence in June 2023, with an expected completion in Spring 2025.
Housing Trust Group and Mount Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church Inc. broke ground on a new affordable housing community, Mount Hermon Apartments, located at 750 Northwest 4th Street in the Dorsey Riverbend neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Designed by Miami-based REPRTWÄR with interiors by B. Pila Design, the 7-story development will offer units reserved for income-qualifying seniors aged 62 and above whose income falls at or below 25 and 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) with rents ranging from $425 to $1,225 per month. HTG Gomez Construction is the general contractor, and Thomas Engineering is the civil engineer and landscape architect. The project is expected to be completed in late 2024.
