Now, we’re excited to report on another McDowell venture: The Harmony on Santa Barbara, an 82-unit complex. The multifamily development will offer homes to those making 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI).
Housing Trust Group (HTG), a national affordable housing developer, has partnered with AM Affordable Housing, a non-profit founded by NBA Hall of Famer and Miami Heat icon Alonzo Mourning, to secure financing and initiate construction on Astoria on 9th. Housing Trust Group (HTG) and Housing for Homeless, Inc. have closed on financing and broke ground on Orchid Lake, a new $30 million affordable housing community located at the southwest corner of University Lane and Michigan Avenue in Cocoa, Florida. Designed by FK Architecture with Manley Design as the landscape architect and DRMP as the civil engineer, Orchid Lake will be a three-story community offering residences in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans featuring interiors by Builders Design. Hennessy Construction is the general contractor, and work is expected to complete in early 2024.
Several concrete core walls have been erected at Bayfront On Sand Lake, a multi-family luxury residential apartment community under construction at 10900 Turkey Lake Road in Dr. Phillips, Orlando. Designed by Winter Park-based FK Architecture and being developed by Macomb Oakland Sand Lake LLC, an entity owned and managed by real estate developer Mickey Shapiro, the project is comprised of the development of several 4-story lake-front apartment buildings across 16.54-acres of land in between Big Sand Lake and Interstate 4. Development plans filed with the city indicate the community will yield up to to 376 dwelling units.
