Yesterday, Florida YIMBY reported on Ekos Magnolia Oaks, a workforce housing community slated for Tallahassee, Florida. Now, we’re excited to report on another McDowell venture: The Harmony on Santa Barbara, an 82-unit complex.
The multifamily development will offer homes to those making 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). The developer will reserve at least 10 percent of the units for seniors, veterans, and special needs populations.
The venture will offer 82 units divided among two buildings.
McDowell notes that the Class A, well-appointed homes aim to promote independent living. There are one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. They will be divided among two three-story concrete buildings and rest on 3.78 acres of a five-acre lot.
The land previously belonged to the Collier County School District, but now the county has ownership and is working with McDowell on the venture. Residential amenities include a business center, pool deck, playgrounds, and outdoor BBQs––just to name a few offerings.

Contractors broke ground on the multi-million-dollar community in 2022, with completion just around the corner. FK Architecture designed the community. Conceptual renderings show two low-rise L-shaped buildings comprising 48,000 square feet of new construction.
