Sources report that construction on River Manors is expected to start next year. The mixed-use venture requires the demolition of a now-defunct retail center. The development was built in the 1950s and hosts three retail stores, a restaurant, and a gas station.
Soleste Village North and Soleste Village South are two mixed-use developments proposed for Hollywood, Florida. The development would offer a total of 503 apartments in two high-rise buildings.
Construction’s expected to start on Transit Village early next year. It’ll require more than one million square feet of new construction and rest on six acres. Transit Village will offer easy access to the nearby historic West Palm Beach train station.
Central East Florida could soon be home to one of the state’s biggest solar farms. The Orlando Business Journal reports that Avalon Park Group Management Inc. has 6,253 acres under contract right now. It hopes to start construction on a solar farm that will generate more than 300 megawatts. The Daytona News Journal notes that just one megawatt is enough to power 150 to 200 homes.
Spirit Airlines has a $250 million mixed-use venture unfolding in Dania Beach, Florida. Brasfield & Gorrie LLC––Orlando broke ground on the venture in early 2021, and it plans on finishing in 2023. Spirit Airlines reports that once the project finishes, it’ll hire 225 more people.
