Construction Completes On 37-Story Cascade At 3050 Southwest 37th Avenue In Miami

Construction is complete on Cascade, a 37-story multi-family building at 3050 Southwest 37th Avenue in Miami. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by a joint venture partnership between Miami-based real estate developers 13th Floor Investments and Adler Development, in partnership with global investment manager Barings, the building contains 421 modern apartment homes from studios to three-bedroom floor plans, encompassing 510 to 1,323 square feet of space. The project is the second residential tower to be delivered within the 7-acre Link at Douglas master plan, bound by Peacock Avenue to the north, Southwest 37th Avenue (Douglas Road) to the east, Shipping Avenue and South Dixie Highway to the south, and Southwest 37th Court to the west. Civic Construction served as the general contractor for the building, which received its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) from Miami-Dade County on Jan. 5.

Developers File Plans For The Underline’s Expansion To Metrorail Douglas Station

Miami-Dade County planners will consider plans to expand The Underline recreational trail into the Douglas Road Metrorail Station property located at the northwest corner of the intersection between Douglas Road and South Dixie Highway. The county-owned site is approximately 7.54 net acres in size and includes the mixed-use transit-oriented development Link at Douglas by 13th Floor Investments and Adler Group, the Douglas Road Metrorail Station, and the proposed Underline expansion, which would run more or less below the Metrorail tracks. The trail’s expansion into this region of Miami, designed by Arquitectonica with ArquitectonicaGEO, makes up part of Phase 2 which also includes the section under the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station. Phase 2 will span 2.14 miles between Southwest 13th Street to Southwest 19th Avenue and is scheduled to complete in the Summer of 2023.

Updated Design Revealed For Twin 39-Story Towers Planned In Coral Gables

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed renderings for two new mixed-use towers proposed to rise immediately south of the Douglas Road Metrorail Station in Coral Gables, Miami. The project, representing the second and final phase of the transit-oriented Link at Douglas complex, is envisioned as twin 444-foot-tall, 39-story buildings joint by a shared podium comprised of 1.12 million square feet of space, which would contain a blend of residential, office, commercial and parking spaces. At completion, the tower would become the tallest south of Brickell. Developers Adler Group and 13th Floor Investments have released updated renderings of the planned development, further revealing new designs from Arquitectonica.
