Housing Trust Group (HTG) recently celebrated a significant milestone with the topping off of Naranja Grand, a 320-unit affordable housing community in southern Miami-Dade County. In partnership with Miami Lakes-based Elite Equity Development, Naranja Grand will serve income-qualifying seniors and families across two eight-story buildings. Construction has topped off for Madison Point Apartments, a multi-building garden-style mixed-use development community under construction along South Dixie Highway intersecting with Henderson Street in Naranja, Miami-Dade County. Designed by Palenzuela & Hevia Design Group and developed by JQ Group, the development is comprised of four 4-story buildings containing 263 residential units and 14,355 square feet of ground floor commercial space. Davie-based ANF Group, Inc., the general contractor on the project, officially announced the topping out of the concrete structures, and is scheduled for completion towards the end of this year.

266-Unit Mixed-Use Development Proposed For 27077 South Dixie Highway In Naranja, Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County has received an application requesting for an Administrative Site Plan Review from Sulmona Ventures LLC, who has submitted a proposal to construct 266 affordable housing units, also known as workforce housing, across 2 new mixed-use buildings of 7 and 8 stories in the evolving Naranja district. The project’s title is Waterside for the time being, and is located at 27077 South Dixie Highway, on the corner of SW 145th St. The buildings will be designed by Coral Gables-based Behar Front & Partners, and will eventually rise on 4.78 acres of land encompassing well over 200,000 square feet of total lot area.

Artisan Pointe Proposed For 26115 South Dixie Highway In Naranja, Florida

It appears that new mid-to-large scale developments are popping up more often towards the southern regions of Miami-Dade County. In Naranja, a community north of the City of Homestead, this happens to the case, where many vacant plots of land are being scooped up for various types of mixed-use pro. Another proposal is currently being reviewed by the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources seeking approvals for the multi-unit Artisan Pointe, a mixed-use project comprised of  three buildings of 4 and 5 stories located at 26115 South Dixie Highway. The owner of the applications is CGarco Investments LLC and designed by Palenzuela & Hevia Design.
