Currently, according to Google Earth, 26398 South Dixie Highway is a Marathon gas station. The gas station is 2,617 square feet and features a 5,006 square foot fueling canopy area. However, upon completion, this 7,623 square foot space will be revitalized into a car wash with fueling stations.
What the development looks like now
There will be few changes to the already existing gas station, with the exception of a diesel pump, which will be removed to allow for easy access to the lot. The gas station is expected to remain open while construction is underway. The plans indicate that there will be “at least 10” fuel pumps.
The site’s lot
The car wash will be conveyer-belt style with automatic service. The car wash’s inner aisle will be 100 feet long. The structure will be located on 3,377 square feet of land and be 19 feet tall. There will also be a separate room that will provide vacuum services.
Attached to the side of the car wash will be a colonnade that will be 1,566 square feet. This will allow people to walk past the car wash and have accessibility to the fueling stations and the convenience store.
The entire building upon completion
The gas station/car wash combo will be 20 parking spots, both on the street and within an enclosed perimeter. Handicap-accessible parking and parallel street parking will be available.
