Sentral Wynwood Announces New Retail Tenants: maman and The NOW

Brand Urban, a real estate brokerage and advisory company based in Manhattan, has announced that Sentral Wynwood, a resort-style residential community located in the heart of Miami’s arts district, has signed leases with maman and The NOW for ground-floor retail spaces at 51 Northwest 26th Street. As Sentral’s dedicated national placemaking consultant, Brand Urban ensures that the retail complements Sentral’s offerings across the U.S., enhancing the overall experience for long-term residents and guests. maman, New York City’s beloved French-inspired all-day café and bakery, has signed a lease for a 4,202-square-foot location. The NOW, a Los Angeles-founded wellness brand transforming the therapeutic massage space, will occupy 2,119 square feet at Sentral Wynwood. Both locations are slated to open in 2024 and mark maman, and The NOW’s first stores and Sentral’s first community will launch in the Miami market.

Brand Urban’s Christine Nebiar, Alex Yanoff, and Taryn Brandes represented the landlord, Sentral, in the transactions as part of Brand Urban’s national consultancy across Sentral’s retail portfolio. Brand Urban partnered with BM2 Realty’s Gaston Miculitzki in the maman transaction on behalf of the landlord. maman’s exclusive national real estate advisors, Taryn Brandes and Emily Green of Brand Urban, represented the tenant in the transaction as the company’s master broker and partnered with Michael Sullivan of Vertical, a Miami-based boutique real estate company focused on food and beverage brands and aspirational retail. Carly Wilmes of Fischer & Company represented the NOW.

Marking the NYC-founded brand’s debut in South Florida, maman at Sentral Wynwood will be the first Florida location to open out of the four recently announced stores. maman has leased 4,202 square feet of ground-floor retail space at Sentral Wynwood for its flagship location, which will house maman’s all-day café and bakery and pastry production for the South Florida Region. The company selected Wynwood for its central position within the Miami market and strategically chose Sentral Wynwood because the hospitality-forward residential brand aligns with the maman lifestyle.

Similarly, The NOW will debut its boutique massage therapy services in Miami with its 2,119-square-foot location at Sentral Wynwood. Sharing a bohemian, serene brand aesthetic and complementary customer profiles, The NOW and maman were strategically placed at Sentral Wynwood by Brand Urban as like-minded retailers that could play off the traffic of one another and would appeal not only to the Sentral Living residents upstairs but also the surrounding residential and commercial neighborhood. maman and The NOW will join co-tenants at Sentral Wynwood, including House of Mane, Zuri, Wynwood Buggies, Osso Bucco, Form 50, and The Wall Art Gallery.
