AdventHealth Training Center is nearing completion in Orlando, Florida. The multi-million-dollar project is a partnership between the Orlando Magic and AdventHealth. In 2020, the Orlando Sentinel-Orange County Edition noted that the facility would comprise more than 100,000 square feet, featuring a 30,000-square-feet orthopedic and sports medicine center.
It will also feature two basketball courts, a gym, aquatic areas, and an under-building parking garage. Other amenities include sports and science nutrition facilities, a film room, a physical therapy center, and locker rooms. The facility will measure at least two stories.
The site rests on more than three acres, acquired by the Orlando Magic more than two years ago. Balfour Beatty Construction is the general contractor. HOLK is the architect, and PEC––Surveying & Mapping, LLC is the land surveyor.
According to the NBA, developers strove to work with women-owned and minority-owned businesses on the project. It also noted that: “The goal is to establish new standards of care that can be applied to athletes of all ages and stages – from youth sports players to weekend warriors to the pros.”
AdventHealth Training Center is located about one block from the Amway Center near South Division Avenue and West Central Boulevard in Orlando, FL.
