Riverside6 has one goal: to offer “truly affordable” housing for those living in Bradenton, Florida. The five-story complex will offer 80 units, comprising one-bedroom to three-bedroom apartments. According to the Bradenton Herald, homes will measure 600 to 1,100 square feet each.
Communal amenities include a children’s playground, fitness center, and clubhouse. The community will also offer 4,000 square feet of public commercial space on the building’s bottom floor.
The venture will offer 80 affordable housing units.
Sources note that construction started this past June, with Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. serving as the general contractor. Riverside6 will be made of concrete, ensuring the structure’s stability during hurricane season. Completion’s expected in July 2023. The venture’s estimated to cost about $18 million to complete, and it will require more than 96,000 square feet of new construction.
Residency is reserved for those making $16,000 to $60,000 in total annual income. Initially, Riverside6 was reserved for seniors. But now, plans have changed, and residency is available to all ages. At this time, residency applications are not available.
The venture is located in Manatee County, FL.
Housing Trust Group, LLC owns the venture. Right now, the organization has other communities unfolding in Manatee County right now.
Builders Design and Flux Architects are the project’s designers. EBI Surveying is the consultant, and Thomas Engineering Group, LLC is the civil engineer. Riverside6’s address is 6th Avenue and 9th Street, Bradenton, Florida, 34205, in Manatee County.
