Mount Dora, Florida, will soon be home to the Cottages on 11th, a 10.80-acre community featuring 27 single-family homes. Cottages begin in the $700,000s, while homesites start in the $200,000. The lots measure at least 6,000 square feet each. The cottages themselves measure at least 1,600 square feet.
There are five styles to choose from: Coastal Cottage, Spanish Colonial, Craftsman, Cape Cod, and Florida Farmhouse. Homes will measure no more than 35 feet tall, and all will comply with EnergyStar certification standards. The community features a recreational park, mail kiosk, dog park, pavilion, and pond.
One of the best things about the Cottages on 11th is that it’s a short drive from downtown Mount Dora, which offers a host of amenities and activities. Mount Dora Buzz reports that the development rests on a 10.8-acre hilltop parcel. Mount Dora Christian Home and Bible School, Inc. owns the property.
Florida Realty and Development Inc. is the applicant. Wicks Engineering, Inc. is the project engineer. Sources report that construction started on the Cottages at 11th in the first quarter of 2021. The Mount Dora Planning & Zoning Commission approved the development in 2019.
While some units have sold, many are still available. The Cottages on 11th is located on East 11th Avenue, Mount Dora, Florida, 32757, in Lake County.
