Mixed-Use Venture Could Start Construction in Fall 2022 in Dunedin, Florida

A new mixed-use venture recently secured approval in Dunedin, Florida. Sources report that the venture could start construction in November 2022. The general contractor could finish construction in fall 2024. Some sources call the project “Eastern Gateway,” although this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

It’s estimated to cost $30 million to complete. According to Tampa Bay Newspapers, the venture will yield 90 apartments, 79 hotel rooms, and various retail stores. It rests on a 4.3-acre plot.

The venture offers retail stores, hotel rooms, and residences.

Conceptual renderings show that the hotel, retail ventures, and residences will be spread across multiple four-story buildings. The residential aspect is called “Artisan House.” The luxury apartments comprise one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans, with rent starting at $2,000 a month.

In 2020, sources reported that the venture would offer more than 120 parking spots, although this may have changed with time. Parking is available to residents, customers, and hotel guests. Possible amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, and resident lounge.

The venture could cost around $30 million to complete.

The hotel offers conference space, as well. J Kokolakis Contracting––Tarpon Springs is the developer. It’s also acting as the general contractor. The organization presently has 70 active projects, mostly in the public/county sector. The mixed-use venture in Dunedin, Florida, is located at Main Street, Milwaukee Avenue and Skinner Boulevard.
