New renderings have been revealed for Cassia, a 12-story residential development by Alta Developers in the heart of Coral Gables. This fully furnished luxury turnkey condominium, designed by Behar Font & Partners, is located at 4011 Salzedo Street in the Merrick Park District. Cassia will feature 174 residences, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from 662 to 1,439 square feet, offering flexible rental options for frequent travelers or seasonal residents. All units will be designed and furnished by RH.
The newly unveiled renderings depict Cassia, characterized by its rectilinear form and white stucco exterior. Vertical and horizontal lines are emphasized through recessed balconies and window frames. The façade is punctuated by large, floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views and invite natural light into the residences. Architectural frames around the balconies add depth and texture to the building.
“Through Cassia, we aim to create a stylish living experience in the Merrick Park District that seamlessly integrates the surrounding Coral Gables lifestyle. All the while allowing residents to enjoy their apartment as little as or much as they’d like,” said Raimundo Onetto. “With every detail meticulously curated, from the exceptionally designed and crafted RH furniture to the unparalleled location and array of amenities and, of course, proximity just 15 minutes from Miami International Airport, Cassia represents the epitome of contemporary luxury living in one of South Florida’s most coveted and pedestrian-friendly locations.”
The lower levels feature ground-level retail spaces with extensive glazing, which includes black aluminum framing, to enhance transparency and invite street-level interaction. The façade for the ground floor level appears to be a type of stone material or veneer, and green walls at the base complement the nearby landscaping and street trees.
The following renderings show the outdoor amenity deck located above the podium level. This area includes a landscaped pool deck with numerous palm trees and various plantings. The pool area is surrounded by lounge chairs and outdoor seating, providing a recreational space for residents.
The name Cassia is inspired by the Cassia trees blooming across Coral Gables in Spring and Fall, resembling beautiful pink bouquets on slender trunks. This name pays homage to Coral Gables’ founders, who envisioned a Garden City with lush green avenues winding through a residential area punctuated by civic landmarks with playful architecture. Coral Gables maintains this vision, having been designated Tree City USA for 34+ years.
Located steps away from the Shops at Merrick Park, Cassia residents have access to premier shopping and dining experiences with over 100 retailers and restaurants, including luxury brands such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Gucci, and Tiffany & Co. Merrick Park also offers fitness and wellness establishments like Equinox Fitness, SoulCycle, and Elemis spa.
“From its location just steps away from the Shops at Merrick Park to its impeccably crafted RH furnishings, this project stands as a true gem in the market,” said Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, Managing Partner and Principal of Cervera Real Estate. “We are thrilled to once again partner with Alta Developers as the exclusive sales and marketing firm for this project, which we believe will be something truly special.”
