An entity connected to Ustler Development, Atlantic Housing Partners LLLP, and Bank of America Community Development Corp. hopes to get approval for an affordable housing development in Orlando. The venture calls for 115 units in a five-story building.
The Orlando Business Journal notes that of those units, 106 will be reserved for those earning up to 80 percent of the county’s area median income (AMI); another nine will be reserved for households making less than 120 percent of the AMI. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that Orange County’s median household income was $72,629 a year.
The Beacon at Creative Village would occupy a 1.6-acre site that was formerly a portion of the Orlando Tennis Centre. Orlando’s city officials will consider the proposal tomorrow. Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025 and conclude in the third quarter of 2026.
Our sources note that plans for The Beacon at Creative Village have changed numerous times over the years. In 2021, the project was intended to feature 190 units in a seven-story building. If approved, The Beacon at Creative Village would lie on the southeast corner of West Amelia Street and North Parramore Avenue in Orlando, FL, 32801, in Orange County.
