South Carolina-based Greystar intends to start construction on a garden-style multi-family housing development near Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

Marlowe Sarasota will comprise 336 apartments, spanning one-bedroom to three-bedroom units. Communal amenities would include a dog park, co-working space, and clubhouse. A press release from Greystar notes that the homes will be centered around a pond encircled with a walking path. The firm also states that Marlowe Sarasota “pairs the classic feel of a suburban garden-style community with the upscale features of an urban property.”

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the 336-unit complex will occupy 17 acres of the larger, 300-acre SRQ Logistics Center. Greystar recently acquired the build site for $12.9 million. If all goes according to plan, construction will start by the end of this month, with completion slated for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Marlowe Sarasota will join two other communities under the Marlowe banner in the region: Marlowe Jacaranda and Marlowe Lake Manatee. They are located in Sarasota and Manatee county, respectively.

Greystar recently broke ground on another venture in its Florida market: Elan Crown Point, a 315-unit community in Ocoee. Like Marlowe Sarasota, the homes’ layout plans will span one-bedroom to three-bedroom designs.

Marlowe Sarasota will be situated at 2400 Tallevast, Sarasota, FL, 34243, in Sarasota County.
