With the completion of Fairfield at Cypress, a recently completed multi-family housing development in Fort Lauderdale, developer Pinnacle wants to proceed with the venture’s second phase. The Fort Lauderdale Development Review Committee will consider plans for the project today.

Pinnacle at Cypress would comprise two buildings. The largest would measure 11 stories and feature 96 affordable housing units. The other would measure eight stories and feature 100 units, with these homes intended for seniors. This building would feature just over 6,500 square feet of office space for the MS Foundation. There are 132 parking spots allotted for future tenants, but only 57 would be on-site; the remaining 75 would be within the nearby Fairfield at Cypress’s parking garage. A major draw of the community is that it’s within walking distance of a Tri-Rail Station.

The venture would offer a total of 196 units. Image by Kaller Architecture

Residents at Pinnacle at Cypress would have access to a fitness center, dog park, and community room. If approved, Pinnacle would break ground on the project next year. Kaller Architecture designed the two-building addition.

Pinnacle at Cypress would occupy 1.81 acres of a larger 5.47-acre parcel. The venture will cost at least $5 million to complete; Pinnacle has the build site under contract from its current owner. Pinnacle at Cypress has been proposed for 6520 N Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33309, in Broward County.
