A townhome development in St. Petersburg could get approval for a 116-unit expansion.
Presently, Terraces at 87th hosts 16 units that were completed in 2024. Belleair Development Group initially wanted to build another 96 units but changed plans to include more units – approximately 116. This expansion would bring the total number of residences to 132.
The new townhomes would be smaller in scale than the already constructed residences, which include three-bedroom and four-bedroom models. Of the existing 16 units, 13 are already occupied, with the remaining three available and starting at $809,000. The three-story units measure close to 2,000 square feet and come outfitted with various high-end amenities.

Construction continues on the communal amenities at Terraces at 87th. They’re set to include a dog park and resort-style swimming pool with grilling stations. Belleair Development Group purchased the project’s 6.14-acre site for $3.4 million in early 2018. Then, Belleair sought to build rental units, but plans changed following construction costs and market demand.
The site formerly hosted the Lamplight Village mobile home park, which at one point featured 112 mobile homes. Terraces at 87th is located at 490 87th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33702, in Pinellas County.
