Construction has started on a 417,00-square-foot multi-family housing project in Orlando. The project intends to deliver market-rate rentals to young professionals and small families.

The Gateway is slated to measure five stories and feature 270 apartments. They will include studio to three-bedroom layout plans, along with “junior suites.” In-unit features are slated to include quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and spa-inspired bathrooms.

Traded reports that specifically, the studios are outfitted with integrated smart home technology, intended to cater to residents “who prioritize convenience without sacrificing square footage.”

Communal amenities will include but aren’t limited to a heated saltwater swimming pool, dog park, and pickleball court. Other features unique to the community will include an on-site bar/restaurant, fire pits, and indoor/outdoor co-working space. True to the name, the Gateway itself is gated for extra security.

Alabama-based Capstone Building Corp. is the general contractor. The firm intends to have the Gateway completed by late 2027, meaning construction could take about 16 months. JBL Development is the developer; Baker Barrios Architects designed the venture.

The Gateway is planned for 7250 Shadowridge Drive, Orlando, Florida, 32812, in Orange County. It will be situated directly north of Orlando International Airport.
