The NRP Group has broken ground on a 312-unit multifamily development at 13661 SW Village Parkway within the Tradition master-planned community in Port St. Lucie. Designed by Group 4 Architecture, the approximately 18-acre project will comprise 10 three-story residential buildings and is scheduled for completion in summer 2028.
The development will contain a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from approximately 720 to 1,300 square feet. Each residence will include either a private balcony or a fenced ground-floor yard. The community is being developed within Tradition, a roughly 10,000-acre master-planned development in western Port St. Lucie.
Group 4 Architecture is designing the project with a coastal contemporary architectural language. Plans call for light-toned interiors and a series of indoor and outdoor communal spaces distributed throughout the property. The development will also incorporate landscaped courtyards and a walking trail surrounding an on-site lake.
“This project represents an exciting milestone for our growing presence in Florida and reflects our commitment to creating places where residents can thrive,” said Brett Gelsomino, Senior Vice President of Development at The NRP Group. “From its coastal contemporary architecture to its expansive amenity package and walkable setting within Tradition, every aspect of this development is aimed at creating an elevated living experience for today’s renters.”
Amenities are planned to include a 24-hour fitness center with strength and cardio equipment, a swimming pool, coworking suites, dedicated work-from-home offices, a multipurpose resident lounge with a full kitchen, package concierge and storage facilities, outdoor grilling areas, landscaped gathering spaces, and the lakefront walking trail.
“When evaluating new development opportunities, we look for locations where strong population growth, employment expansion and community investment are creating lasting demand,” said Ken Outcalt, Principal and President of Development at The NRP Group. “Tradition embodies all of those qualities. We’re excited to bring a highly amenitized, thoughtfully designed community to this thriving market and create housing that matches the caliber of the surrounding neighborhood.”
The property is positioned along SW Village Parkway near Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike. Nearby employment centers include distribution facilities operated by Amazon, Costco, and Cheney Brothers, while the surrounding Tradition area contains additional residential, retail, healthcare, and educational uses.
M&T Bank provided construction financing for the development. The project follows The NRP Group’s groundbreaking earlier this year on Alora Lofts, an 88-unit affordable housing development in Kissimmee serving households earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area median income.
