Newgard Development Group and Porsche Design have unveiled Porsche Design Concours, a planned automotive-focused development featuring 22 privately owned automobile studios and a membership-based clubhouse at 2500 North Florida Mango Road in West Palm Beach, Florida. Designed by Urban Robot Associates in collaboration with Porsche Design, the project will feature studios ranging from 2,700 to 6,000 square feet, along with recreational, hospitality, and wellness amenities. The development is expected to open in 2028 and represents the first phase of a planned nationwide network of automotive ownership properties.

The development is planned for a 2.6-acre property that was previously proposed for Palm Beach Auto Haus, an automotive condominium project featuring a two-story, approximately 111,637-square-foot building with 20 private automobile studios. Florida YIMBY previously covered the proposal in May 2026. The newly announced Porsche Design Concours concept increases the number of studios to 22, although it remains unclear whether the earlier building area and configuration have been retained.

An affiliate of Newgard Development Group, PB Vaults Development LLC, acquired the property in August 2026 for $10.5 million, with the transaction reportedly supported by a $6.3 million loan from Belmont Bank & Trust. The acquisition preceded the formal announcement of Porsche Design Concours in September, which introduced the partnership between Newgard and Porsche Design and identified West Palm Beach as one of the first two locations in the United States.

The development will comprise individually deeded automobile studios designed to accommodate private vehicle collections alongside workspace and leisure functions. Each studio will feature a mezzanine level, full bathroom, wet bar, and climate-controlled interiors intended to provide suitable conditions for vehicle storage and regular occupancy. Sales will be conducted by invitation only.

A central component of the architectural design is The Concours, an enclosed automotive promenade that will serve as the primary circulation corridor and organizing element for many of the private studios. Rather than relying exclusively on conventional exterior drive aisles, the development will incorporate an interior passage that accommodates vehicle movement, access to individual studios, and the display of automobile collections within a gallery-like environment.

“Porsche Design Concours represents an exciting evolution of our design philosophy,” said Volker Strotmeier, Member of the Porsche Lifestyle Group Executive Board. “For decades, Porsche Design has created products that accompany people throughout their daily lives. With Porsche Design Concours, we are extending that philosophy into an entirely new category by creating environments that bring together design, functionality, and a shared passion for automotive culture. Our purpose is simple: share the passion, shape the lifestyle.”

Harvey Hernandez, CEO and founder of Newgard Development Group, which is designing and building the properties, said:

“This project is very personal. I have spent my career developing real estate, but I have also spent much of my life around cars and collectors, and I kept coming back to the same question: why do the cars we care about most often end up sitting in spaces that have almost nothing to do with the passion we have for them? This was never meant to be storage. It was meant to be a home for the parts of someone’s life that revolve around this passion.”

The architectural approach draws from Porsche Design’s established design principles, emphasizing functional layouts, restrained material palettes, and simplified architectural forms. Urban Robot Associates is responsible for translating these principles into the West Palm Beach property’s exterior and interior environments, working in collaboration with Porsche Design. The design philosophy references a principle established by Porsche Design founder F. A. Porsche in 1972: “Design is not simply art, it is elegance of function.”

In addition to the automobile studios, the property will feature a private, membership-based Clubhouse providing shared recreational and hospitality facilities. Planned amenities include padel courts, spa and wellness facilities, dining areas, private lounges, coworking spaces, outdoor terraces, event spaces, concierge services, and 24-hour security.

Ownership will not be restricted to Porsche vehicles. The studios are intended to accommodate collections from multiple automobile manufacturers, including vehicles from different eras and categories. The property will operate as a private community centered on automotive ownership and shared amenities.

The West Palm Beach development is being introduced alongside a second Porsche Design Concours location in Dallas, Texas, which will also feature 22 automobile studios. Gensler is responsible for the Dallas design. Both properties represent the initial phase of a broader national expansion planned by Newgard Development Group and Porsche Design.

According to Newgard, future locations will be selected based on their proximity to established automotive collector communities and surrounding residential neighborhoods. The company is targeting properties approximately 10 to 15 minutes from areas where prospective owners reside and regularly spend time.

Hernandez said West Palm Beach and Dallas represent the opening chapter of a larger plan.

“Our vision with Porsche Design Concours is to create a carefully curated network of these destinations across the United States, in the cities where the world’s most passionate collectors live, work and spend their time,” he said.

Porsche Design Concours in West Palm Beach is currently targeting an opening in 2028. A construction commencement date and general contractor have not been announced.

  1. One of the stupidest concepts ever.

  2. I don’t chastise people who like their cars so much, but I cannot wrap my head on what exactly is being proposed with this establishment.
