The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has received applications from New York City’s Kushner Companies seeking approvals for the assemblage of two tower cranes at 2000 Biscayne Boulevard. The pair would rise 487-feet and 527-feet to assist in the vertical construction of Kushner’s 36-story, 408-foot-tall residential building proposed for the Edgewater site. The structure is designed by Dorsky + Yue International Architecture.
The FAA received the application on September 16, 2021, which reveals the estimated commence date is November 1, 2021. The tower cranes would last approximately two years in use up until the end of 2023,

2000 Biscayne Boulevard is one of three towers that Kushner is planning to construct, yielding 393 residential units, 455 parking spaces and 4,569 square feet of retail.
Kushner Companies just recently landed $127 million in construction loans; 2000 Biscayne Leasehold and 2000 Biscayne Fee Owner (entities managed by Kushner) secured a $75 million leasehold mortgage from Valley National Bank and a $52 million mortgage from AIG Asset Management.
Construction permits are already approved and the cost of construction is estimated at $111 million. Balfour Beatty is listed as the general contractor.
