Newgard Development Group recently acquired a 1.08-acre site at 200 West Broward Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale from a joint venture between Aimco and Kushner Companies for $31.24 million. The site, zoned for substantial residential development, has received approvals for a 49-story building comprising 381 residential units, 8,256 square feet of commercial space, and 426 parking spaces. Kushner Companies Proposes Mixed-Use Development Anchored By Two Slender 41-Story Towers At 400 N. Andrews Avenue In Fort Lauderdale

Today, Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee will review plans from New York-based Kushner Companies for the development of 400 North Andrews. This project envisions a mixed-use complex anchored by twin 41-story residential towers over a multistory podium at 400 to 446 North Andrews Avenue in Flagler Village, bordering the downtown area, designed by Adache Group Architects, with Architectural Alliance Landscape as the landscape architect and Flynn Engineering as the civil engineer. The development, if approved, will encompass 1,407,205 square feet of space, including 682,945 square feet of residential space with 852 apartments, 44,531 square feet of amenities, 5,481 square feet for retail and restaurants, and parking facilities for 872 vehicles. These towers will reach a height of 477 feet to the roof or 510 feet to the bulkhead, making them some of the tallest proposed or planned buildings in Fort Lauderdale.

Aimco, Kushner Submit Plans For 579-Foot-Tall Mixed-Use Tower At 200 W. Broward Blvd. In Downtown Fort Lauderdale

K-A 200 Broward JV LLC, a joint venture by Aimco, a Denver-based multifamily-focused real estate investment and development firm, and Kushner, a New York-based real estate developer, is requesting site plan approvals for 200 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story, 579-foot-tall mixed-use building proposed for a prime 1.08-acre site along W. Broward Boulevard between Southwest 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This project is designed by local architect Adache Group Architects with landscaping from Witkin Hults + Partners and civil engineering by Flynn Engineering. The 618,084-square-foot tower would sit atop a 305,905-square-foot podium and comprise 430,298 square feet of residential space across 381 units, 7,527 square feet of commercial space, 180,000 square feet of combined amenity, tenant storage and service spaces, and 7 levels of parking for 434 vehicles. The building would become the tallest in Fort Lauderdale if approved and built, surpassing the planned 558-foot-tall 300 W. Broward tower next door, and representing one of four towers in the works for Broward Crossing, a 1,300 unit mixed-use development with office, retail and a potential hotel.
