Construction is continuing on what is often referred to as the Jewelry Box, a multi-level retail building located on Block F (East) of the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter development in Downtown Miami. The structure is designed by NBWW Architects for Miami Worldcenter Associates, a partnership between Art Falcone, Nitin Motwani and the CIM Group. The building will yield 135,208 square feet of new construction, including 78,264 square feet of retail across the first two floors, and a usable rooftop space.
Recent photos reveal the state of the steel steel structure that has been erected west of the newly constructed CitizenM Hotel. The building has topped off already, noted by the American flag hanging off a steel beam towards the top-center. The overall structure is beginning to resemble the rendering from NBWW Architects now that steel has been assembled over the rooftop.
Two rows of angled steel columns of varying heights allow for the cover to the rooftop to slope downwards from east to west.
Framing units are not being put in place to prep for the installation of tall glass storefront systems for the retail venues.
The rear-end of the structure along Northeast 8th Street is being enclosed with concrete monetary units. The current renderings of the Jewelry Box suggests this section of the building will eventually be clad some type of metallic panels.
BDI Construction Company is managing construction. According to the issued building permits, ECCS Florida, LLC is listed for electrical work; Apex Air Conditioning Contractors is responsible for plumbing, gas and mechanical air.
Retail tenants for the Jewelry Box have not been announced as of yet. At the current pace of construction, YIMBY estimates completion may be reached some time in the second quarter of 2022.

Some renderings and videos of it show a rooftop pool? Any idea if that is still happening? I don’t see a pool being built yet…
Occupying the southern portion of the 1st Floor will be Urban Space, a Food Hall w/ 20 vendors.
Thanks for the update!
Is this official? Where did you read / hear that?
