Shalimar West is a new mixed-use housing development coming to Plantation, FL. The project will be built in two phases, with the first phase delivering 240 apartment units across multiple mid-rise buildings, per the South Florida Business Journal. The first phase will ideally reach completion in 18 months.
Amenities include a community pool, fitness center, and conference. Per TM Real Estate Group
When the project reaches completion, it will deliver over 400 apartments and townhomes. Construction on the residential aspect began in September 2021. The retail aspect will start construction later this year, and the second residential phase will start construction in about nine months.
The owner, TM Real Estate Group, secured a $44 million construction loan prior to breaking ground. Based out of Davie, FL, the organization has 47 active projects, primarily in the private commercial and residential sectors.
MSA Architects designed the venture. Conceptual renderings reveal mid-rise garden-style buildings outfitted with walkways, balconies, and an outdoor courtyard. The community will also feature a parking garage and about 10,000 square feet of retail space. Amenities include a fitness center, pool, and business center.

Shalimar West is located at 8361 N.W. Seventh Place, Plantation, FL, 33325, in Broward County. It’s located at the site of a defunct American Express building, which was demolished several years ago.
