Swire Properties And Related Companies Unveil Florida’s Tallest And Largest Commercial Skyscraper For 700 Brickell Avenue

Miami-based Swire Properties Inc. (Swire), the U.S. real estate arm of the Hong-Kong listed multinational corporation Swire Group, and New York-based Related Companies (Related), the powerhouse developer behind Hudson Yards in Manhattan, have unveiled their official plans for One Brickell City Centre, an approximately 1,000-foot supertall commercial skyscraper proposed to replace an aging 10-story office building at 700 Brickell Avenue in Brickell, Miami’s Financial District. The project is designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica and is proposed to yield 1.6 million square feet of office space with the largest floor plates in Miami for a Class-A office building. If approved, One Brickell City Centre would become both the tallest and largest commercial building in Florida, representing the second phase of Swire’s 4.9-million-square-foot Brickell City Centre mixed-use complex.

ODP Architecture & Design Releases Updated Renderings Of Planned Supertall At One Bayfront Plaza

ODP Architecture & Design has released new renderings of One Bayfront Plaza, a planned mixed-use supertall skyscraper projected to rise well over 1,000-feet at 100 South Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. The renderings were first spotted on the architects official website, listed as an ‘on-going’ 2,015,457-square-foot building of mixed-uses, meaning the design may not final just yet. Nonetheless, the new design is a major update from the previous iteration from Kohn Pedersen Fox approved in 2017. The 2.26-acre property is owned by Northwestern Capital Corporation, an affiliate of Florida East Coast Realty led by Tibor Hollo, who developed Miami’s current tallest building – the 868-foot-tall Panorama Tower. The new building will rise from the site of an existing 19-story, 530,000-square-foot office tower, built in 1958. The developer plans to demolish the structure, but demolition permits have yet to be filed for the site.

National developer Property Markets Group, along with partners Greybrook Realty Partners, Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development and global hospitality company Hilton have announced that the Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, Florida’s upcoming first supertall skyscraper, has sold 72% of its residential inventory in just nine months. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with renowned architect Carlos Ott and featuring interiors by award-winning interior design firm BAMO, the building will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay as the tallest residential and hotel building south of New York City, set to become a landmark beacon for the city and an architectural wonder in Florida.  Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the development will mark the debut of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Waldorf Astoria, in the Miami market.

Foundation Permits Filed For Miami’s First Supertall Skyscraper At 300 Biscayne Boulevard

Foundation permits have been filed for Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, the city’s first supertall skyscraper planned to rise nearly 100 stories and approximately 1,049-feet at 300 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. The filing lists New York City and Miami-based Property Markets Group as the applicant, who is developing the mixed-use tower with Canada-based Greybrook Realty Partners. The application was submitted on October 27th, indicating there is to be site and soil improvements on several lots totaling 43,791 square feet with Keller North America listed as the contractor at the cost of $5,165,000.

Application Filed To The FAA For A 1,049-Foot-Tall Tower At 1428 Brickell Avenue

The Federal Aviation Administration has received an application for permission to construct a 1,049-foot-tall structure at 1428 Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami. The property sits at the intersection between Brickell Avenue and Southeast 14th Terrace, just across the street from the Four Seasons Residences Miami. The current owner of the site is Miami-based real estate developer Ytech, listed as Ytech 1428 Brickell LLC according to the public records, who purchased the site back in January of 2017 for just over $26 million from The Taplin Company LTD.
