Wynwood’s Whale & Star Site Eyed for Mixed-Use Redevelopment with Hotel and Condos

Plans have been submitted for potentially redeveloping the Whale & Star building in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District into a mixed-use project. The site is located at 2215-2237 Northwest 1st Place, 175 Northwest 22nd Street, and 170 Northwest 23rd Street, and spans 37,822 square feet. Currently, the property contains 27,406 square feet of commercial buildings, which would be demolished under the proposal.The city’s Wynwood Design Review Committee has approved the plans, which are now set to be reviewed by the Urban Development Review Board (UDRB).

Plans for Wynwood’s tallest-ever tower have been filed. Currently known by its address, 2101 NW Miami Ct, the proposed mixed-use development, designed by Arquitectonica and developed by Wynwood Interest LLC, managed by Isaac, Jacobo, Simon, John, and Rosa Bazbaz, is set to rise 48 stories, or 490 feet above ground and 506 feet above sea level. The project would yield approximately 755,688 square feet of floor area, including 544 residential units, two floors of amenities on levels 9 and 10, 19,292 square feet of ground-floor retail, and 621 on-site parking spaces spread over six garage levels. The Wynwood Design Review Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on the proposal on June 4.

Clearline Real Estate’s 2000 North Wynwood Mixed-Use Development Advances As Plans Are Filed With City Officials

Clearline Real Estate has filed a waiver application for 2000 North Wynwood, a 12-story mixed-use building planned for 2000 North Miami Avenue in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. The 134-foot-tall structure is set to be developed with a total floor area of 374,622 square feet, consisting of 310 dwelling units, 9909 square feet of ground floor retail, and 311 parking spaces. Arquitectonica is the architect, and Naturalficial is the landscape architect for the project. Site plans are included in the waiver application, which will undergo review by the Wynwood Design Review Committee on March 14, and the Urban Development Review Board on March 15.

Vibrant 5-Story Mixed-Use Building Proposed For 35 NW 27th Street In Wynwood

LRF Wynwood LLC, an affiliate of Bay Road Partners and Scott Robins Companies, filed plans for a 5-story residential and commercial at 35 Northwest 27th Street in Wynwood. Wynwood’s Design Review Committee is scheduled to review the proposal on June 13, 2022, which calls for 182,483 square feet of new construction comprising 203 residential units, over 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, 48 parking spaces and 170 bicycle spaces. The 68-foot-tall building would be certified LEED Silver, designed by Arquitectonica with ArquitectonicaGEO as the landscape architect.

Plans have been filed with the Wynwood Design Review Committee for Wyn On 5th, two 8-story mixed use buildings proposed to be constructed at 2661 Northwest 5th Avenue and 2701 Northwest 5th Avenue in the Wynwood Neighborhood Revitalization District of Miami. Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by RAL Tricap Wynwood LLC, a joint venture between RAL Development Services LLC and Tricap, the two structures would rise 123-feet and sit across the street from each as sister buildings, located mainly along Northwest 5th Avenue and between NW26th and NW 27th Streets (Wyn On 5th South), and NW 27th and NW 28th Streets (Wyn On 5th North).
