Construction continues on Bezel at Miami Worldcenter, a 43-story, 434-unit luxury residential tower in Downtown Miami. Designed by Stantec and developed by the Moinian Group in collaboration with ZOM Living, the 493-foot-tall structure is addressed as 650 Northeast 2nd Avenue, standing on the southwest corner of what once was Northeast 7th Street, diagonally across the street from the Freedom Tower at Miami-Dade College.

Recent photos reveal the state of construction at the site. One of the most immediately striking features of the exterior are the patterns formed out out of the placement of the balconies. The facade appears punctuated when viewed from certain angles, creating a strong sense of texture yet still fitting in with the aesthetic  and character of the surrounding towers within the development.

The glass on the balconies are being unwrapped out of the plastic that was protecting it from the elements, which reveals partially-tinted blue-green panels framed in black aluminum.

The walls in between the windows and balconies are made of concrete monetary units, which will likely be clad in a grey-colored stucco as seen in the photo below; work on the exterior is currently underway.

Bezel is one of multiple towers rising within the Miami Worldcenter mega development, being the 2nd largest project in the country spanning 27-acres. New York based Moinian Group claims their 434-unit 650 Northeast 2nd Avenue will offer the “highest end product in the market”, featuring amenity levels on the 13th and 14th floor including an open lounge area adjacent to a progressive restaurant, a landscaped deck surrounded by a resort-style pool and a wellness center complete with treatment rooms, a fitness center, and classroom. 48,000 square feet will be dedicated to commercial spaces for food, beverage and retail outlets on the 1st, 2nd and 12th floor, and adjacent a 922-spot parking garage.

Completion for the tower is expected some time in later this year.

  1. “highest end product”…..that’s how we think of building homes, a community, a legacy……

  2. Fantastic building but I hope for more iconic ones downtown like Waldorf Astoria. Okan was going to be the nicest but not sure it’ll ever happen. Please give us an update on that one.
