Lynn University, a private college located in Boca Raton, FL, will soon have new student housing to accommodate its growing population. Per Lynn University’s website, the $40.5 million project will provide housing to 342 upperclassmen. Construction began on the venture in June 2021 and will hopefully finish by Fall 2022.

The Construction Journal reports that the student housing development will include a three-story building on 6.10 acres of land. The building will include multi-bedroom units, ranging from studios to four-bedroom dorms. Residents can enjoy communal areas, kitchens, study lounges, and private bathrooms.
The project will also have a silver LEED-certified rating. This means that the dormitory will have anywhere from 50 to 59 LEED “points,” which measures the building’s impact on the environment in both the long and short term.

In total, the building will require over 113,000 square feet of new construction. At the time of publication, Lynn University had over 2,100 students, offering associate, bachelor, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
The project is owned by Lynn University, which presently has two active projects, one in the private residential sector, and the other in the private entertainment sector. The Construction Journal lists the new venture’s location as 3601 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL, 33427 in Palm Beach County.
