1 Southside Park is unfolding in Miami-Dade County, the Next Miami reports. The $43 million project started construction in the first quarter of 2021 and will ideally end sometime in fall 2025.
The Construction Journal reports that Plaza Construction Services is the general contractor, overseeing 13 active projects that total almost $1 billion. The project measures 64 stories––or 773 feet tall.
The mixed-use venture includes a fire station.
In total, the mixed-use complex will require about 2 million square feet of new construction. Plans are underway for 1,195 apartments. Apartments.com notes that units range from studio apartments to three-bedroom units.
The smallest unit measures 500 square feet, and the largest units measure 1,115 square feet. These are rental units. The Next Miami reports that, upon completion, 1 Southside Park will be Miami’s largest rental apartment building. Starwood Capital Group owns the venture.
There will be over 1,110 apartments studio and multi-bedroom units.
Plans also include 200 hotel rooms, which will be managed by Barry Sternlicht’s Treehouse Hotels. Renderings also show 165,000 square feet of office space, a 23-000-square-foot restaurant, a 5,120-square-foot banquet hall, a fitness center, a fire station, and much, much more.
1 Southside Park’s address is 1133 Southwest 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL, 33130, in Miami-Dade County. The community’s east of 1-95 and northwest of Simpson Park.
