Assisted Living Facility to Finish Construction in 2023 in Nassau County, FL

Manor Hampton is continuing construction in Nassau County, FL, the Construction Journal reports. The multi-million-dollar assisted living facility will provide over 85,000 square feet of new construction on 9.98 acres of land. It’s owned by AVA Engineers, Inc., which is doubling as the project’s civil engineer.

Plans are underway for over 95 units. The premises will feature a 43-space parking lot. Sitework began in October 2021. Vertical construction’s expected to start in February 2022 and will conclude in January 2023. These plans may change over time. The Construction Journal notes that the project will cost anywhere from $5 million to $10 million to complete, although again, this may change.

The complex will be located along this street.

Nassau County, FL, just like other counties in Florida, is seeing massive population booms. Now that the baby boomers are turning into the senior boomers, Manor Hampton hopes to provide enough housing to meet demand.

Seidell Architects designed the venture. The Michigan-based firm currently has eight active projects in the private residential and singles trades sectors. Welsh Construction, LLC is the general contractor. The Melbourne-based organization has 83 active projects across multiple ventures.

Manor Hampton’s address is Old Nassauville Rd., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, in Nassau County. The complex is east of I-95.

Are you having independent living with that too? What will your cost be?

Why is this project stopped or paused? The site has had no activity for months and weather is taking a toll on the infrastructure pending completion. Will this project resume or become another casualty of “Covid”? I am the Board Member for the HOA next to this community… Respectfully,…
