According to Space Coast Daily, Amazon has over 150 delivery stations across the U.S. Now, another one’s headed for Cocoa, FL. The 202,000-square-foot facility began construction in March 2021, with Catamount Constructors Inc.––San Antonio operating as the general contractor. The project’s expected to reach completion in the first quarter of 2022. The Construction Journal reports that the venture’s expected to cost about $33 million to complete.
Amazon––Corporate Headquarters owns the project. The Construction Journal reports that the eCommerce giant has over 160 active projects costing more than $4.6 billion. Other projects include an Amazon Fresh Store in Winter Park, FL, and an Amazon Four-Star Retail Store in Orlando, FL. Both projects have not started construction.
The Amazon delivery center will be located along this street.
Other involved entities on the Cocoa, FL, project include BL Companies Incorporated (the venture’s architect) and Seefried Industrial Properties (the project’s developer). DC Johnson & Associates is the land surveyor, and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. is the civil engineer.
Space Coast Daily reports that this is Cocoa’s first Amazon delivery station. It’s considered a “last-mile” fulfillment center, which focuses on getting products from Amazon’s warehouses to customers’ doorsteps. It also offers Amazon Flex, which allows individuals to deliver packages for Amazon using their own vehicles.

Remember when people went into town, walked into a store, greeted a salesperson, touched something, thought about it, then went for lunch on foot down the street…..
Now Amazon takes paradise and puts up a concrete box to deliver stuff nobody cares about, and instead of mom and pop owning a store, they fulfill in a fulfillment center for minimum wage.
