Contrary to what the name suggests, Kentucky Square isn’t headed for the Bluegrass State. Instead, it’s a 149-home housing development coming to Sanford, Florida. The project has already been approved. Upon completion, it’ll offer homes measuring 1,700 square feet to 3,300 square feet each.
Each home will rest on a 55-foot lot with seven-and-a-half-foot side lots. Communal amenities include a swimming pool with cabanas. At this time, there is no information regarding how much these homes will cost.
Development’s expected to start later this year. Landsea Homes owns the venture. It acquired the build site after purchasing Hanover Family Builders in January 2022. It bought the organization for about $180 million. Landsea Homes is operating as the project’s builder, and Appian Engineering, LLC is the civil engineer.
Kentucky Square isn’t Landsea Homes’ only active venture in Sanford, Florida, right now. Celery Homes, another residential development, offers 103 single-family homes starting in the high $300,000s. The multi-bedroom homes range from about 1,700 square feet to 2,700 square feet each.
Landsea Homes’ notes that Sanford is the ideal location for new housing developments. It’s home to many entertainment options, including the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center. Kentucky Square is located on East Lake Mary Boulevard and Eaglewoods Trail, Sanford, Florida, in Seminole County.
