Montage at Midtown To Start Construction at 2101 Jackson Street, Fort Myers, Florida

Montage at Midtown is a new multi-family venture slated for Fort Myers, Florida. The million-dollar venture will offer 321 units on a 4.71-acre plot. According to the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency, the project will deliver three buildings: a four-story residential building, a five-story amenity building, and a six-story, 585-spot parking garage.

The parking garage will offer spaces for the venture’s future phases, which could offer residential and retail space. Sources report that the build site was unoccupied for 20 years. Upon completion, it’s expected to spark similar ventures in Lee County. As it stands, the undeveloped build site generates about $6,000 in tax revenue for the City of Fort Myers.

Montage at Midtown will offer three mid-rise buildings.

After construction ends, that number could leap to more than $860,000a year. In 2021, Wink News reported that developers hope that the development will draw millennials, “zoomers,” and working professionals. Catalyst Asset Management Inc. is the venture’s owner, and Stantec Inc. is the civil engineer.

Construction could start later this year in October 2022. If the project moves forward without delays, construction could end in 2024. The venture’s estimated to create 700 direct and indirect jobs.

The build site has been undeveloped for 20 years.

Montage at Midtown’s address is 2101 Jackson Street, Fort Myers, Florida, 33901, in Lee County. The venture is west of I-75.
