Construction could soon start on NeoCity, a revolutionary partnership between Osceola County and South Korean company, LG. The mixed-use venture would offer various amenities in phases, ranging from state-of-the-art “smart” amenities to residential units.
Positively Osceola suggests that the $1.2 billion venture could offer 1,150 condos, 400,000 square feet of communal amenities, a 200-room conference hotel, and more. The publication reports that the goal is to create a “uniquely unified experience for employees, residents, and visitors.”
It will draw more people to the area and rest on a lot measuring more than 50 acres. It will also no doubt draw more developers and employers to the area. Sources report that construction could start in December 2022 or in early 2023. Records show Osceola County Commissioners as NeoCity’s owner.
H Architecture is the architect, and LG Electronics USA Inc. is the developer. NeoCity isn’t the only “smart” mixed-use development unfolding in the U.S. right now. Construction on Bleutech Park, a smart “mini city” in Nevada, could start by the end of this year.
Like NeoCity, the multi-billion-dollar venture will offer workforce housing and create more than 25,000 jobs. NeoCity’s is located in Kissimmee, Florida, in Osceola County. The venture will likely take several years to reach completion.
