Westlake is an emerging master-planned community in Loxahatchee, Florida. Presently, there are at least 10 developments in the works, offering more than 4,000 homes total. To supplement the new developments, plans are underway for the Shoppes at Westlake. It’s one of the first retail centers in the area, intended to serve Westlake’s growing population.
Plans call for close to 20,000 square feet of new construction, spread across multiple low-rise commercial buildings. The center will primarily offer dining options, ranging from Taco Bell to Sauced Barbecue & Whiskey Shack. The facilities range from 1,360 square feet to 3,972 square feet each. Plans show that there’s great demand for these restaurants; there are only three fast-food options within driving distance of Westlake.
Construction could start on the multi-million-dollar venture this September. It could take anywhere from 18 months to two years to complete, although this has not been confirmed. Records show that there are five general contractors working on this project: MEC Contractors and Engineers, CE Gleeson Constructors, Inc., Park & Eleazer Construction, Frontier Mount Holly, LLC, and Route 10 Whipanny, Inc.
Konover South LLC is the owner, and Cuhaci & Peterson Architects designed the project. Shoppes of Westlake’s address is listed as 4901 Seminole Platt Whitney Road, Loxahatchee, Florida, 33470, in Palm Beach County.
