Dominium, Inc. Hopes to Build Two Communities at 1255 and 1277 Plymouth Sorrento Road, Apopka, Florida, 32712

Dominium, Inc. hopes to move forward with The Mira and The Waters, two housing developments offering more than 500 units in Orange County, Florida. According to the Orlando Business Journal, The Mira would offer 336 affordable housing units, while The Waters would offer 180 affordable housing units.

The Waters would offer homes intended for residents 55+ and older, with units ranging from one bedroom to three bedrooms, per GrowthSpotter. There are 72 one-bedroom homes, 80 two-bedroom homes, and 28 three-bedroom homes.

The publication reports that although floorplan details aren’t available online for The Mira, some homes come with four bedrooms. The Mira will have its homes spread across 13 buildings, while The Waters will have its units spread across three buildings.

Dominium, Inc., which is based in Minnesota, purchased the 34.71-acre build site for $4.65 million. That’s about $134,000 per acre. Bessolo Design Group, Inc. is the architect. Conceptual renderings suggest that the buildings will not measure more than four stories above grade, and they’re garden-style communities.

The build site measures more than 30 acres.

Bohler Engineering––New Jersey is the civil engineer. Both projects could cost more than $150 million total to reach completion. Construction could start in summer 2023. The Mira and The Waters could be located at 1255 and 1277 Plymouth Sorrento Road, Apopka, Florida, 32712, in Orange County.
