Rivergrass Village is a hotly-contested venture unfolding near Collier County, FL. The 1,000-acre community will offer 2,500 single-family and multi-family homes. The Naples Daily News reports that the community will comprise anywhere from 62,500 square feet to 80,000 square feet of “neighborhood scaled retail and office uses.”
The venture will also comprise 25,000 square feet of civic space, a 150-acre 18-hole golf course, and a 20-acre mixed-use center. Communal amenities comprise health and wellness facilities, pedestrian-friendly trails, and more.
In 2019, sources noted that homes would start at $250,000 each, although this may have changed in light of the housing market. The village’s website, however, reports that essential workers in Collier County can secure a home with down payment assistance from Collier Enterprises, the venture’s owner.
Rivergrass Village could cost nearly $1 billion to complete. The venture was originally supposed to start construction in 2020, but this wasn’t feasible following various complications. Now, sources note that the general contractor could break ground in spring 2023. Stantec––Naples is the architect, and Agnoli, Barber & Brundage, Inc. is the civil engineer.
Rivergrass Village will be located on Oil Well Road in Immokalee, Florida, 34142, in Collier County.
