Southpointe Vista to Offer 326 Affordable Homes at Southwest 117th Court and Southwest 214th Street, Miami, Florida

Southpointe Vista is underway in Miami, Florida. The residential community could start construction soon and cost nearly $123 million to complete. The community rests on a 3.46-acre build site. Sources note that at the time of publication, the venture had received approval from city officials.

The affordable housing community will offer 326 homes divided among two 11-story buildings. The homes are available to those making 60 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). In 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau reported that the AMI as of January 2022 hovered around $41,000.

Southpointe Vista would reach completion in phases, with the first phase offering 124 homes and the second phase offering 202 units. Communal amenities comprise 482 parking spots (with 328 of those spots being in a parking garage), a fitness center, a yoga room, a business center, and more, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

McDowell Housing Partners––Miami is the developer. It’s also working on another affordable housing complex alongside Miami Jewish Health. Rep R Twar Architecture and Design Studios designed the development. The Miami Beach-based organization presently has five active projects, all in South Florida.
