Jacksonville city officials are reviewing plans for an Amazon delivery center. The application calls it “AMZL DJX4”––a code for an Amazon-affiliated center. If approved, the venture will rest on a build site measuring 77 acres.
Per the Jacksonville Daily Record, the $40 million venture would require more than 180,000 square feet of new construction. As opposed to Amazon fulfillment centers, this facility would focus more on “the final leg of distribution to customers.” Items will arrive packaged and ready for delivery.
Seefried Industrial Properties of Atlanta is the developer. The Jacksonville Business Journal notes that Pond & Co. is the architect. Our sources do not list a general contractor at this time.
This is not the only Amazon-owned facility in Duval County. In October 2020, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported on an Amazon package delivery hub. Called DJX3, the venture cost $15 million to complete and comprised more than 400,000 square feet of new construction. Baker Barrios Architects designed the venture. At the time, it was the ninth Amazon facility in Northeast Florida.
The new Amazon delivery center will be located directly south of Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport. The venture will not interrupt the airport’s normal operations. The venture’s address is 450 General Doolittle Drive, Jacksonville, Florida, 32225, in Duval County.

Great ! More jobs develop in Jacksonville. Hopefully awesome pay rage must be a must.
If not it’s what good for infrastructure that don’t include the citizens as well. Must likely the company is going bring in their own team of employees for bringing of operational purpose. But how many if local will be hired. Also training positions
When is DJX4 scheduled to open…when can you apply?
