Meet the Maggie, one of Summit Contracting Group’s ongoing projects. The multifamily housing complex will comprise 280 apartments spread across 11 two-story and three-story buildings.
Our sources indicate that the market-rate units will range from one-room to two-bedroom homes. REBusiness Online reports that communal amenities include a dog park, grilling stations, a residents’ lounge, fitness center, and pool deck.
The Maggie itself will comprise 336,490 square feet of new construction and rest on a 28.6-acre build site. The units could become available in spring 2024. ParkProperty and Rangewater have partnered on the garden-style housing complex.
The latter organization closed on the community in February 2023. G4 Architectural Services, LLC released conceptual renderings online, showing low-rise wood-framed buildings and several outdoor amenities.
Multi-Housing News notes that the Maggie is the developer’s sixth project in Jacksonville. Its most recent project was Olea eTown, an age-restricted community with 192 units. That venture, like the Maggie, is located in Jacksonville.
The 280-unit apartment’s address is 3730 Dupont Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida, 32217, in Duval County. Google Earth’s images show that some properties required demolition before the start of construction. The Maggie itself is west of I-95 and the St. Johns River.
