The Tampa Bay Housing Authority, in partnership with Archway Properties and Signature Property Services, is working on a multi-family housing development in South Tampa.
Casa Bel-Mar will offer 58 one-bedroom and 42 two-bedroom units in a four-story building. There will be 100 homes total. The community will rent to those making 30 percent to 80 percent of the area median income, expanding on the affordable housing options in the region.

The U.S. Census reports that the median household income in the area is $66,802. Communal amenities at Casa Bel-Mar could include a community center, fitness center, library, and tech lab. There will also be on-site adult literacy and employment services. Pike Cos. is the general contractor.
Bank of America and Citi Community Capital are the lenders. As of June 2023, developers had reserved 75 units for people who were already on the Tampa Bay Housing Authority’s waitlist. The remaining 25 units will have applications online 90 days before the complex is set to open, per National Public Radio (NPR).

Casa Bel-Mar is expected to reach completion within 15 months of starting construction. It will be located on land once owned by the Bel-Mar Presbyterian Church in South Tampa. The developers are committed to displaying the church’s historical records on site, as well as leasing a 1,500-square-foot retail space to the church.
Casa Bel-Mar will be located at 4003 South Manhattan Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33611, in Hillsborough County.
