174-Unit ‘Cassia’ Planned for 4011 Salzedo Street in Coral Gables, FL

Cassia, a 12-story upscale housing complex, is slated for Coral Gables. Our sources indicate that the building will host 174 condos, with homes measuring 662 square feet to 1,439 square feet each.

The furnished residences will span one-bedroom to three-bedroom floorplans, with the cost of ownership starting in the $700,000s. The most expensive units hover around $1.8 million.

The community would occupy a 1.41-acre parcel.

The South Florida Business Journal notes that the development allows for short-term rental options. Communal amenities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, barbecue, and wellness center with a spa.

There will also be a garden featuring cassia trees, referencing the community’s namesake. The Real Deal reports that in addition to the 174 homes, Cassia will have 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Cassia will rest on a 1.41-acre site that Alta Developers purchased for $17.45 million in 2020. Construction could start on the project by the end of 2024. Our sources did not indicate a timeline.

Cassia will take shape at 4011 Salzedo Street (also known as 250 Bird Road) in Coral Gables, FL, 33146, in Miami-Dade County. The community would be east of Florida State Road 826 and west of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.
