Construction on Onda Residences, an 8-story residential condominium designed by Arquitectonica in Miami’s Bay Harbor Islands, is complete upon receiving its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO). This milestone marks the delivery of the boutique waterfront tower located at 1135 103rd Street as owners move forward with unit closings and prepare to move into the building. Ugo Colombo of CMC Group and Valerio Morabito of Morabito Properties are the developers. Coastal Construction served as the general contractor.

Nearly all of Onda’s residences have been presold since the development’s initial launch in 2021. Only three residences are available, priced from about $5.1 million. Most of Onda’s buyers are domestic, reflecting how business and wealth migration has recently fueled the South Florida condo market.

“When we initially envisioned Onda, we wanted to deliver a boutique development that would satisfy the increasing demand from out-of-state residents moving to Miami from all over the country. Its launch set the bar for Miami’s Bay Harbor Islands, marking a new era for an area under the radar for years. Seeing our vision come to life and the new energy that Onda has brought to the neighborhood is exciting,” said Ugo Colombo, Founder of CMC Group.

“Diminishing single-family home inventory and growing interest in Miami’s luxury condo market have sparked a new wave of development in Miami, but few developments benefit from Onda’s prime waterfront location in one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods,” added Valerio Morabito, CEO of Morabito Properties.

Residences at Onda range from two- to four-bedroom plus den floorplans, measuring between 1,809 and 3,535 square feet. Four penthouse residences measure up to 5,073 square feet, two of which include private rooftop pool decks. All units feature an office/den, private and semi-private high-speed elevators, floor-to-ceiling, impact-resistant sliding glass doors and windows, spacious tiled terraces with private gardens, open floor layouts with up to 9-foot-high ceilings, fully-accessorized Snaidero kitchens with top-of-the-line Miele appliances, bathrooms with Italian marble and Milldue cabinetry, Italian flooring throughout, energy-efficient air conditioning and heating systems, and air and water filtration systems.

Onda, which means “wave” in Italian, is designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica. The interiors are by Carlo and Paolo Colombo of A++ Human Sustainable Architecture, and the landscaping is by award-winning architect Enzo Enea of Enea Garden Design. The interior materials, imported from Italy, aim to reflect the ambiance of where the water meets the sand, using soothing, neutral tones. The building’s design captures the essence of the sea and tropical vegetation surrounding its island location.

Onda’s Bay Harbor Islands location offers more than 300 linear feet of bay frontage with views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. A private marina with 15 boat slips and a water sports launch dock are among the popular features, providing residents with direct ocean access through Miami’s Haulover Inlet.

Building amenities include a rooftop pool deck and lounge area, a state-of-the-art fitness center with Technogym equipment, a yoga studio, a spa with massage treatment rooms, steam bath and sauna rooms, and personalized services. The building also offers state-of-the-art security and technology, a front desk reception, a covered valet drop-off area, personal parking spaces, electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle storage, and residential storage space. An integrated digital concierge, WiFi throughout public spaces, and FTTH technology for voice, video, and high-speed internet are also provided.

Colombo and Morabito partnered in 2016 to develop Beach House 8, a boutique waterfront condo on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. Colombo’s CMC Group is currently constructing Vita at Grove Isle, an ultra-luxury condo in Coconut Grove, and recently unveiled the Four Seasons Private Residences Coconut Grove in partnership with Fort Partners.
