Chicago-based Regency Development Group has officially broken ground on the first building of the La Maré Brand Collection, a residential development located at 9781 East Bay Harbor Drive in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. This project was designed by renowned architect Kobi Karp, and its interiors were designed by the acclaimed Debora Aguiar Arquitetos. La Maré is divided into three distinct collections, beginning with the Signature Collection, which features nine luxurious residences, each offering three and four-bedroom units ranging from 2,200 to 4,300 square feet.

Miami’s Building Department has issued a site work permit for Villa Miami in Edgewater, marking a significant step forward in the development process. The permit, issued on August 2, comes with a revision filed on the same day and allows for excavation, piles, site improvement, and soil improvement. Moss & Associates is listed as the contractor on the permit, covering 22,000 square feet of work at a cost of $66,000. An application for a master construction permit is also in progress, detailing a 358,944-square-foot building with 7,723 square feet allocated for a restaurant and 351,221 square feet for residential space at an estimated cost of $62,817,300 is also in progress. A seawall permit with Ebsary Foundation Company as the contractor, valued at $480,000, is also under review.

FAA Approves Tower Cranes for 41-Story Development at 520 W. Broward Blvd in Fort Lauderdale

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued permits for two tower cranes at 520 West Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, where Woodfield Investments plans to build a 41-story tower. The permits, issued on August 7 and expire on February 7, 2026, allow the cranes to rise 507 feet and 546 feet above ground, or 511 and 550 feet above mean sea level. The development, designed by Spina O’Rourke + Partners with landscape architecture by EDSA, will feature 365 apartments, 2,500 square feet of commercial space, and a 444-space parking garage.

Designed by Spina O’Rourke + Partners with Schmidt Nichols as the landscape architect and developed by BGI Companies and Blue Road Group, the 262-foot-tall structure will offer 55 residences, including four unique two—and three-story townhomes with unobstructed views of the Intracoastal Waterway and private plunge pools. Moss Construction is the general contractor.

This milestone marks the delivery of the boutique waterfront tower located at 1135 103rd Street as owners move forward with unit closings and prepare to move into the building. Ugo Colombo of CMC Group and Valerio Morabito of Morabito Properties are the developers. Coastal Construction served as the general contractor.
