Construction has topped off on EDEN West, two residential buildings located at 8501 West McNab Road in Tamarac, Florida. Designed by MSA Architects and developed by CE Tamarac LLC, a joint venture between Cypress Equity Investments and EDEN Multifamily led by developers Jay Jacobson and Jay Massirman, the 4-story structures will yield 212 garden-style multifamily units, a robust amenity offering and 360 parking spaces on 6.24-acres of land between Northwest 70th Street, North Pine Island Road and West McNab Road. ANF Group, Inc., the project’s general contractor, first broke ground in the Spring of 2021, and is expected to complete construction in Q4 of 2022.

OKO Group, Cain International Break Ground On 34-Story One River Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

OKO Group and Cain International have broken ground on their next joint venture development, One River Fort Lauderdale, a 34-story tower located at 629 Southeast 5th Avenue that will yield 365,203-square-feet including 251 high-end apartments, 2,600 square feet of ground level retail space and a 6-story, 337-space parking garage. On Friday, July 22nd, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the site to commemorate the start of construction. Notable attendees included City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, and Vice Mayor Ben Sorensen. The groundbreaking announcement follows recent news that the development team secured $97.2 million in financing from Bank OZK and JVP Management to help fund construction of the tower. OKO Group and Cain International have secured $97.2 million in construction financing for their next joint venture development: One River, a new 34-story luxury multifamily tower located addressed as 629 Southeast 5th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Financing is broken down into two loans, a senior construction loan provided by Bank OZK, and a mezzanine construction loan provided by JVP Management, which will fund the construction of the tower. The 0.79-acre property is located in the Sailboat Bend neighborhood within the City’s Downtown Core, nestled in between Southwest 5th and 6th Avenues south of West Broward Boulevard. Designed by West Palm Beach-based Spina O’Rourke + Partners with EDSA as the landscape architect and developed by Virginia-based Woodfield Investments LLC, the project comprises of 365 residential units, 2,500 square feet of ground level commercial space, an amenity deck with 53,165 square feet of space and 444 parking spaces. Flynn Engineering is onboard as the civil engineer along with Maser Consulting as the surveyor and Lighting Dynamics Inc. for lighting purposes.

ANF Group Inc. Selected As General Contractor For 15,000-Square-Foot Theatre Arts Building At University Of Miami’s Coral Gables Campus

Davie, Florida-based ANF Group, Inc., a full-service construction firm providing construction management, general contracting, development, and design-build services, has been selected as the general contractor for the construction of a new 15,000-square-foot ground up Theater Arts Building on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables Campus. Designed by Miami-based Mateu Architecture, the 2-story building will feature a theatre, concessions, wardrobe and dressing rooms, acting and dance classrooms, voice studios, a student lounge, and supporting spaces. A 1,000-square-foot IT Hub/Data Room will also be located within the space program of the new Theater Arts building. The project is currently in the pre-construction stages, and is expected to break ground in the third quarter of 2022.
