FAA Permits Filed for 848 Brickell, Requesting Approval for 764-Foot Tower

Key International and Sterling Bay have filed for FAA permits for 848 Brickell, a 51-story Class A office and retail tower in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill (SOM), the project’s permits were filed on June 27, 2024, and are currently under review, with the status showing “work in progress.” The structure is planned to reach 764 feet above ground, or 775 feet above mean sea level.

848 Brickell is set to become a significant addition to Miami’s Financial District, offering over 750,000 square feet of Class-A office space and 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The development will also include on-site parking facilities for more than 1,000 vehicles. Designed to cater to the evolving needs of modern businesses and professionals, the project will feature a range of hospitality-inspired amenities. These include tech-enabled conference facilities, a luxury fitness center, an expansive outdoor terrace, padel tennis courts, and private open-air lounges.

Located at 848 Brickell Avenue, the tower will provide tenants with ocean and Brickell Avenue views. Its prime location offers quick access to the neighborhood’s top dining, retail, and entertainment destinations, enhancing its appeal as a premier business hub in Miami.
