Developers Related Group, Tate Capital, and Rok Acquisitions, in partnership with Marriott International, have unveiled plans for The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale. This extensive project marks a transformative step for the renowned Bahia Mar Yachting Center, a major marina and host of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).
With a $2 billion budget, this long-anticipated development will unfold in two phases, reimagining the marina area into a luxurious, Monaco-inspired destination. The initial phase will introduce branded residential towers, a St. Regis hotel, a private beach club, and upscale dining and retail spaces. Sales for The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale, have commenced.
“While Bahia Mar has attracted global yachting enthusiasts for decades with its prime location and unparalleled superyacht infrastructure, its full potential had yet to be tapped,” stated Jorge M. Pérez, Chairman and CEO of Related Group. “Blending world-class residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings, this visionary development is not only befitting of this one-of-a-kind site but also a critical addition to Fort Lauderdale’s broader evolution. With the introduction of The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale, our team is cementing the city as one of the world’s luxury epicenters.”
Set across 40 acres, the project includes two 23-story residential towers and a 197-key St. Regis hotel, with design led by Arquitectonica and interiors by London-based Tara Bernerd & Partners. The master plan allocates 88,000 square feet of waterfront commercial space, including restaurants, marina docking, a public park, and a 25-foot-wide pedestrian promenade along the Intracoastal Waterway. The exclusive marina will also offer slips for yachts up to 350 feet.
“After nearly a decade of hard work, it’s incredible to see our vision finally come to life,” said Jimmy Tate. “Despite countless obstacles, we never doubted Bahia Mar’s potential. We always believed this project would elevate the entire Fort Lauderdale community, but this collaboration with St. Regis exceeds even our highest expectations.”
Phase one features 160 condominium residences across the two towers and additional resort residences atop the hotel. Condominiums will range from three to four bedrooms, spanning 2,600 to 3,550 square feet, with penthouse options offering extended layouts. Residences feature private elevator foyers, open layouts, and glass-wrapped terraces with views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and city skyline.
Each element of the branded residences aligns with St. Regis’s luxury standards. Each tower has 17,000 square feet of amenities, including a spa, salon, fitness center, children’s playroom, and more. Outdoor spaces will feature a private pool, pickleball court, sports simulators, and summer kitchens.
“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Related Group, Tate Capital, and Rok Acquisitions to reimagine The St. Regis Bahia Mar Resort and Residences in Fort Lauderdale,” said Dana Jacobsohn, Chief Development Officer, North America Luxury Brands & Global Mixed-Use. “With its unparalleled waterfront location and exquisite design, this iconic property is set to transform the marina and deliver world-class luxury to travelers and residents alike.”
Amenities will include two resort-style pools, a fitness center, a spa, and a fine dining restaurant with expansive water views. Additional features include a 24/7 residential lobby, valet and self-parking options, climate-controlled storage, and a residents-only app.
Douglas Elliman Development Marketing exclusively manages sales for The Residences, with prices beginning at $4.4 million for condominiums and $2 million for hotel residences.
