National developer Dominium is moving forward with a multi-family housing development after securing a 27.7-acre site. Anchor at Gulf Harbors will comprise 388 residences in a five-story building.
Pasco County records indicate that the homes will be available to “low, middle, and moderate elderly income tenants”. Multi-Housing News notes that the project has been made possible with funding from the Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program.
Communal amenities at Anchor at Gulf Harbors include a swimming pool with deck area, bocce ball court, and firepits. The design also calls for the preservation of eight acres of natural Florida wetlands, featuring trails lined with benches and bike racks.
WD Construction is serving as the general contractor. Our sources do not indicate a timeline for groundbreaking. Dominium recently had another project in its Florida pipeline: The Preserve at Ward’s Creek, a 288-unit community that Florida YIMBY reported on in March 2024. Jacksonville Today reported that the project was denied by city officials two months later after citing traffic concerns.
Anchor at Gulf Harbors is planned for 5430 Jackstay Road in New Port Richey, Florida. It would lie 40 miles of downtown Tampa and less than two miles away from the nearest shopping center.
